I'm moving to Doha from the UK where i am learning how to bellydance. IS this banned in Doha? I heard that you cannot watch it hotels, but can you learn it and if so where?
i dont know about belly dancing.. but as far as i have seen, everyone in doha seems to have a big belly.. dont know if its beer or food.. all are potential belly dancers..!!

@beans, yes you CAN learn belly dancing in Doha. There used to be a class at the Marriott for example.

Some people have private classes or group lessons..its just not allowed as a public display, I believe.

as far as i know those are seasonal classes ,,,,, they come stay n teach for few months of a year n go back ,,,,,,

they do teach belly dancing here as a few of my friends took it up wait lemme check where abts.........getback to ya on this one
