Enjoy an exquisite Arabian Ramadan exprience at InterContinental Doha's Shahrazad Tent
The arrival of this year's holy month of Ramadan in Qatar was marked by yet another invitation to share a meal after a day's fasting, this time at InterContinental Doha's Ramadan tent.
Decked out in a luxurious white and gold interior, Shahrazad Tent is a magnificent Arabesque affair. They say the tent was inspired by the magical settings of One Thousand and One Nights, which instantly evokes a mystic vibe.
As you enter the tent, you can't help but notice the mesmerizing Arabian ambience - the embelleshing chandeliers and the captivating presence of the live Oud entertainers all add to the lavish vibe.
Shahrazad Tent is huge and can easily accommodate over 350 guests. The tables have been thoughtfully and methodically arranged for smaller and bigger groups making it ideal for small family gathering as well as huge corporate events.
There are also private majlis in the tent, perfect for intimate Sohoor gatherings. We suggest you specifically ask for this space when you make your reservation.
The selection of food and set-up was also impressive. The salad bar and mezze sections are located inside the tent along with the desserts at either ends of the tent.
The hallways have been transformed into a buffet featuring live cooking stations for different cusines. In addition to all the traditional Arabic cusines, Shahrazad features a Mexican, pasta and sushi station.
It also goes without saying that a Suhoor buffet is incomplete without the glorious Lamb Ouzi station. Lucky for us, they had a big one. And we may have even gone for seconds if we did not have the urge to try a bit of everything Shahrazad to offer.
We felt spoilt for choice as we approached the final leg of our meal. It was time for desserts. Shahrazad Tent has a wide range of irresistible sweets from decadent cakes, baklavas to the must-have Kenafeh.
Children 5 years old and below eat free. Child prices apply to children from 6 to 12 years old.
