Picturesque places in Doha

As a longtime resident of Qatar, I have always prided myself for knowing every picturesque spot in the Doha. But, I soon realized I did not know about this city as much as I thought I did when a newcomer to Doha invited me for a coffee on a cool winter morning at a coffee shop on the Museum of Islamic Arts. The café is located in the far end of the MIA walkway, surrounded by lush green grass and stunning architecture. Tables and chairs are set out in the area in front of the coffee shop.

It took me a minute to find the place but it was definitely worth it. It almost feels like you are on an island in the middle of the corniche. There is plenty of comfortable seating available to enjoy the absolutely stunning views of the Doha skyline. It was amazing to just sit back with a hot cup of coffee and just watch the sun set over Doha. The beautiful changing colors of the sky and the reflections on the water combined with the beautiful view of the Doha skyline is something that I am glad I could experience.

I highly recommend this place if you want to have a coffee with some amazing views of Doha, or maybe just to go for a walk or just lounge around on one of the many grass covered dunes and watch the sky, sea and skyline.

While on the topic of amazing views, another place I would highly recommend is the Aspire Park located close to Villagio. The park is absolutely massive with a large pond, green hills, miles of walkways and a restaurant and coffee shop. You will be in for a treat if you visit the park during sunset. The views of the beautiful trees and the green grass combined with the ambiance created by the sounds of chirping birds, make it an experience to remember. I highly recommend this place for picnics, for jogging, or just for going for a stroll to take in the beautiful sights and sounds.

Doha is constantly changing and new places with amazing views are constantly coming up. Always be on a lookout for places to sit back and relax and take in the beautiful sights that this city has to offer.
