Qatar hangouts that refresh and rejuvinate
Being born and raised in Qatar, I love to think I know what I’m talking about. With my years of experience in, I’ve been through most of what this growing, booming and exciting country has to offer. From swaying coastlines to buzzing urban parks, Qatar is a multi-cultural, mixed community where, no matter who you may be, you are welcome to indulge in the many different traditions that have cemented themselves into the hearts of thousands. Indian, Filipino, Egyptian or British, there is no doubt Doha will definitely find a way into your life!
I have seen Qatar grow from a desert wasteland into a spectacular, central hub where people of all ages and nationalities mix and socialize.
In 3rd place, as most people will agree, Villagio certainly catches the attention of many. The light blue ‘skies’, premium cinemas, luxurious restaurants, and the constant humming of thousands of shoppers really makes me feel warm and toasty inside. Everything you need to enjoy your free time with is packed into one big energetic package. I can watch three Bollywood blockbusters, back to back, enjoy some late night dinner time with my buddies in the food-court, get some adrenaline flowing at the Gondolania theme park, and then top it all off with some shopping at Carrefour.
In 2nd place, the runner-up is Sea-Line. This is one of the unique places in Qatar, where there is a perfect combination of International cuisine, wind, water and sand. This is a place where you can relax, enjoy, and relieve all that pressure and stress that you’ve been hoarding up all week! The crashing of the gentle waves on the sloping soft coast is rejuvenating to the soul, and can help one forget all their fears and worries, at least for one day! Whether it be sand-duning , or just a gentle swim, it’s going to be great!
And in 1st place on my list *epic drumroll* is… Katara! I think Katara is quite underrated. It is where true Arab Culture can be witnessed, and where different traditions are expressed in ways no other can match. There are several events every week, and professional musicians, lecturers, and entertainers from all around the world are present to inform, excite and thrill any who may wish to enjoy! I’ve spent lots of time in Katara, boating, drinking karak, and chatting away with Qataris, Indians, and other people from around the globe.
A definite honorable mention would be the Corniche. This green haven is perfect for chilling out, refreshing the mind, and maybe even getting those calves burning with a nice jog around the rocky coast of the gulf sea!
Another honorable mention is The Pearl, especially if you’ve got a few extra riyals lying around. This is truly the definition of luxury. Five-star hotels, spas and resorts litter the neighborhood. This place is, literally, like a pearl. Expensive one, that is!
Wow, so sweet , wonderful place , everybody loves it .............. !!
