6000 QR is enough to survive in Qatar.

Hi everyone,

Almost my job is confirmed in QATAR. They are offering 6000 QR. Is it good salary for 5 years experience having B.tech MECHANICAL ENGINEERING. Please kindly help me what else can I negotiate. I don't knowany expenses in qatar at all.

i know NEPLAI labors working for 1500 QR per month and they are sending money to their families , and i know about western ppl with 50000K salary , and they complain that they cant save .

It depend. Are you married or single?? if yes, you need at least above 10,000 QR. if single, it will not be enough too. For housing you will spend around 2000 for single room. Transportation will be around 1000 to 1200 QR, this will be from home to work vice versa, other transportation expenses will be different. Food, you need at least 1500 to 2000 QR and if you eat outside it will be more ... so i am sure 6000 will not be enough. if you are single ask them to provide accommodation and transportation and salary of 7500 QR. Qatar is very expensive.
