Asking the package of job offer

Hi,
I have been working as a banker having specialization in corporate banking in Malaysia. I have been offered a job in Qatar for a RM position with a salary of approximately QR 21K of which QR13.5 will be for base salary and the remaining for my transport & housing allowances. I want to know will this amount be sufficent as I was informed 30% of ur salary allocated for ur accomodation. Not sure the remaining amount will ensure u to live comfortably and make any savings part of my salary. Will this amount be sufficient for me?
I want to know about living expenses in Qatar as of now.

Thanks.

where does everyone get this add 25% on top of home salary from ??, living in cloud cuckoo if you ask me, I am led to believe, in this instance UK Citizen are offered the same as salary as UK plus benefits, I think if people are seriously thinking they will get 25% extra then they are living in dream land - imho.

you need school fees and family status if you are to bring your family out later.

The rent and school fees are the big expenses

For that amount, you are better off staying put! Inflation is very high, with things going up 30% every 2-3 months.

Every company is different re: negotiation. You have to take into account the high cost of living in Qatar and come up with a minimum amount that makes it worthwhile to come to Qatar. This is what you should negotiate for. Any less and it's not worth accepting.

In Malaysia.. i've got my basic only.. no allowances for housing. but its totally inaccurate comparison in Qatar.. as cost of living in Qatar way way higher than Malaysia.. anyway thanx for ur input..
