hi,

i am canadian pediatric nurse. i have several questions to ask:

1.what is salary like for pediatric nurses? are all nurses paid the same salary or does your experience matter? i work as staff nurse at the Hospital for Sick Children.

2.does nationality determine salary?

3. i have two kids and hubby, how big are family houses?

4. how much vacation time do nurses get?

5. hubby has a business that he will likely sell, is it easy for foreigners to start business there?

thank you so much for your help!!

Try to get your offer from there before you come here, then you will get better deal in addition to relocation cost, If you are recruited in good hospital you should these benefits

1. House provided or equivelant in cash $2,000 to $2,500

2. Medical Insurnace including your family.

3. 30 days paid vacation yearly with a return ticket.

4. Transportation will be provided or equivelant $400

5. Basic salary $2,500 to $3,000

N.B.

a.Most of the hospitals prefer cheaper nationalities

b.Qatar is very expensive espacilay for education

My personal advice dont come if your pacakage is less than $5,000.

Welcome in case you wana come

Your salary might not even be enough to pay for your childrens' education. Schools charge an average of QAR 50,000 per schoolyear in fees for ONE child. Recruitment of nurses is mainly made from the Philippines as the salaries they pay them are substantially lower. Not right - but welcome to the Middle East where discrimination is just everywhere.

1&2. Salary depends on nationality and the hospital/private company that you work for.

3. Most people who work here the company they work for decides the price they are gonna pay for housing, ergo depends the size of house. Usually it's the husbands company that pay...it's a paternalistic society.

4. Depends on the company, position you get and the company.

5. You have to have a Qatari partner to start a business.

They will take half if not more, but you will still make a profit if it is a good, unique, in demand business.
