End of service benefit?
Dears I need your help please!
When calculating end of service benefit how to detremine;
- Number of worked days
- Gratuity for uncomplete year ( for example years of service are 8 years, 6 months, 15 days) how to calculate end of service if the basic salary is 5000 and End of service is calcuated on the basis of 30 days for each year of service.
Please advise... I need your help urgently.

Based on 30 days.
5000 x 8 years = 40,000/-
5000/365*180days = 2,466/-
5000/365*15days = 205/-
Total = 42,671/-
Based on 21 days.(5000/30*21=3500)
3500 x 8 years = 28,000/-
3500/365*180 days = 1,726/-
3500/365*15 days = 144/-
Total = 29,870/-
But I was told before that more than 6 months of will be considered one year of service

But as per Qatari labor law,
Article (54)
The worker shall be entitled to gratuity for the fractions of the year in proportion to the duration of employment.
So sure there is gratuity paid for incomplete year
Gratuity is paid for each year of service completed from the date of joining a company. The gratuity is 21 calendar days. As such if your basic is 5000 you divide this by 30. multiply the result by 21 and then multiply by the number of complete years you have worked. I don't think gratuity is paid for partial years.
