hi guys!

I am currently working here in Riyadh as Executive Secretary ng Managing Director and i'm leaving for good come july 8 due to saudization ... i am decided to try my luck there in qatar

I want to know guys how much salary range must i bargain if i have 7-8 years of same work-related experience, 4.5 yrs of which goes to top level management such as working with the General Manager and Managing Director?

Aside from the basic pay (which I got no idea yet) how much should I ask for my accomodation and transpo allowance? I am Single by the way ..

Any help from anybody is much appreciated.

I have spent my career in Saudi Arabia fro 6.5 yrs and I think this is enough for a tough culture and laws, hence I really wanted to join the workforce in Qatar with much pleasure ..

Please help ...

The way we do it is supply accommodation, transport to and from the office, then a basic salary.

This way you are only limited to taxis when you are out and about during your free time.

estimate qatarisun! .. maybe since i'm just starting my life in qatar owning a room alone (the usual i do here in riyadh) is not feasible at the moment .. so sharing a room with someone else is the practical alternative .. but owing a car is a must, i have been provided with a company car here in riyadh and not to have one there in qatar is a horrible thing so i must save from other expenses to afford me purchase of car ..

many thanks qatarisun at least i got a clear picture what to expect from a potential Employer

of course i wont dare accept 4grand all inclusive ..

again, it depend on your salary.. if you get 4grand all inclusive, you most likely won't have a penny left for any car, and will have to use a company transportation... again.. it depends on what offer you can get.. you have to get at very least 7000 to be able to rent some little room (3000), to get some second hand car (1000) and to survive on the rest...

many thanks for that

i did actually what you just posted here

in fact, some of the advertisement i saw

in our national newspaper ads with

salaries ranging from 4k to 6k basic

for the postion i mentioned ..

the next thing to do is to make a short

research on the companies who may want to hire

my services ...

since i heard that public transportation

there in qatar is really tough, how much

monthly amortization will it fall if i want to

purchase a second hand car like toyota camry?

or should i buy an brand new car under installment?

please advise

that's why i edited the entire letter and posted it again

datu_act thanks very much for the reply

however, it is safe to say that your fren's

category of work does not fall for secretary

working to top management such as GM, MD etc.

just like here in Riyadh there are secretaries

who's work are simply general

administrative and clerical functions and they

receive SR 2000/mo .. but those on top

management receive as high as SR10K

any more info please?

...salaries range could be from 2,500 till 15,000.. how does it help you? it all depends on what kind of qualifications/experience do you have and which company you will join...as you know, salaries in the big strong government companies for example are quite different from the salaries in some small weak private creature...what you have to do is to try to send your CVs and see what kind of offer can you get.. that's all you can do...
