Well..well...I consider this as the "Golden Question". Im sure this question bugs not only you me and other QLers but also other Indians in Qatar and for that matter everywhere else in the Gulf.

This is more of a personal choice based on your needs.

If immediate money is your priority I would consider Option 1.

Advantage : faster money (thanks to tax-free income)

Disadvantage : learning would be far less as compared to working in India, no faster career growth.

If money is not your priority then option 2 is best

Advantage : greater learning (which is considered the BEST investment for the future), more oppurtunities, healthy competition, faster career growth.

Disadvantage : Income will be highly taxed (though it is a constitutional obligation for every citizen to pay taxes), bank balance might not grow as much in a shorter span of time as compared to working in the Gulf.

Though in my point of view money is the only criteria, money is something which will never reach its satisfying limits for a human. But its upto the individual to decide on his/her priorities and decide on how much money is needed immediately, earn it in Gulf and then get back to making a living and a career in India.

Happy decision making and Good luck :)

Dear Friend,

Its up to you dear........Why we are here? just think about it, because of our weak financial condition. Am i right?.If your earnings in India will meet your your requirements, indeed everybody will choose the second option. I can not choose second as i am facing difficulties both ends to meet together, hope you can go with second one..............All the best.

Working in India with lots of Learning is better, c u can always get good job if you have experiance. You have to target your goal i.e. say 2-3 years of very good experiance & learning, then u can try for the monitory benefits. Inititially if you want to go for monitory benefit, sometime you may loose both.

ALWAYS EXPERIANCE + KNOWLEDGE COUNTS.

Good career and learning new things is more satisfying in the long run. Added up with a decent package, I think one should go for career. Also the present compensation trend seem to be more or less similar in both the regions.

It depends. If you are thinking of earning quick good money in a short period my vote goes to option 1. If you are looking for a long term decent job without considering quick and big bank balance then my choice will be option 2.

Careerwise India good to learn fast but if you want to earn money dont think about the learning things if you are smart you will earn good money in Qatar and you will get good position in very short time

I think option 2 is much better professionally speaking and also considering future Gulf prospects.
