got a job offer in Doha but still waiting for visa. how long does it usually takes?
Aside from waiting for my working permit to be able to start working in Doha. give you heads up, I got an offered salary of 7000riyal. Do you think it is enough for a single lady? what will I expect from Doha? I have been doing a research about Qatar been hearing positive feedback about it but henceforth, I am wanting to learn more about Doha from people who lives their. Thank you.
please give me timeline for the releasing of working visa. thank you again.
QR7000 salary for "Administrative Coordinator" is a very good salary in Doha.
My work permit took less than 3 weeks
(at) mayed: where u exactly working? and how much salary your getting if you dont mind me asking? thank you. so, you think its already more than enough? how come some people are still a little apprehensive about it?
(at) lolorere: oh yeah, do they find having 3-5K riyal salary enough? kindly elaborate more when it comes to expenses I should expect before coming to Doha. Thank you.
So probably your company is engage in construction. So welcome to Qatar. Do you know exactly your location. As I am also working as Site Secretary. Your offer is good considering you're single. By the way, how did you apply? Is it through agency or direct hiring?
if accommodation is offered by the company .. then it will be kinda ok ... if not .. then it doesn't worth it ..
PLUS .. make sure if you are coming through an agency .. I really know a lot of people have been offered a salary and when they came here they found something else .. much lower salary than what they were offered ...
Be careful .. and you have to keep a copy of any single paper you receive from them ... offer or contract or whatever it is ..
For the positive feedback .. I don't think about that ... terrible weather, dead city .. no where to go and have fun ... restricted ... Sponsors are treating their employee as slaves ... you will do more than what you expect ...
Moreover, If you found a better job .. you can't leave your employer .. you have to be with your first employer for at least 1 year .. and after the one year .. They have to give you an NOC letter to transfer your sponsorship .. which i doubt and they don't do ... You will be stucked for a life time for that 7,000 ....
My advice to you: Search and research a lot before you accept the offer ...
(at) malih55: I'll be working as an Administrative Coordinator and would be directly reporting to the Office Site Manager. As of we closed the deal 7000riyal already inclusive of everything but only for quite sometime. As I would be completely settled in Doha, I have to find my own pad not under company expense.
I believe 750riyal - per bedspace rate.
Only thing Im going to spend in Doha is my food and lodging but transportation wise not a problem, it will be provided by the company. So, does anyone of you think, its already enough?
Visa concern: it depends on HR..aw ok! gotcha. Thank you.
what are the other benefits you offered /transportation/ accommodation/ medical/vacation salary/ bonuses...etc
many factors help to decide if 7000 good or not in addition what is your profession.
visa issuing time based on the company HR.
