I am a filipino working as a CNC Operator. My 2 year contract ended last week. The problem is my employer won't give my full end of service benefit. My boss said he will only give 14, 21 instead of 21, 21... And they won't also shoulder in full (they are going to pay half only) my ticket going back home to my country. Which is unfair because it is stated in the contract that they have to pay my ticket going back home once my service ends.  Their explanation is that the ticket was too expensive. But I think that is not my problem (ticket price) because in the first place they already know that my contract is about to end they should have purchased the ticket earlier considering that plane goes up every christmas season. Half the price of the ticket is already equivalent to my one month salary.

Now when I said that I am supposed to be recieving the 21, 21 end of service benefit, they countered by saying they are now just going to pay 14, 14 only. This is bullshit and I really feel bad right now. I served them honestly and even worked overtime sometimes without pay and this the way how they treat me. I am also afraid to report them to the ministry of labor since the ID that they provided me has already expired last year. Which also bothered me the whole year because my working contract is for 2 years and they gave me a 1 year working permit only.

Please help guys I am very frustrated right now and afraid as well.

Thanks in advance.

No need to worry parey. Disclose the Name of the company habibi. Go to ur Embassy first and get their views then u can proceed to labour.

Parey, how ever you have decided to quit your dirty company,

go to embassy, go to labor dept., you have all the rights to lodge complaint on the injustice what your company is doing to you. Put them in trouble before you leave so that the rest of the guys will get better treatment in future.

You contact Philippines Embassy. Renewing your RP is your company's responsibility. You can also go labor Dept, you will get all the benefit whatever mentioned in the contract and you will be able to go free. But you cannot come back.

But STRICTLY, If they go and report labor as abscond , you cannot do anything and also your Id is already expired.Keep proof that you are still working with them Either a photo with your employees, or official email communication with your boss /colleagues.This way, you have a strong proof that you are still with them , and did not abscond.

I suggest you take professional advice from Philippines embassy in Qatar. Is your visa in passport expired too ? If yes when did it expire ?
