Job offer as security manager

Hi all,

We are based in Singapore and my husband received a call today from this security company called teyseer services which is working in partnership with a french mnc called sodexho. They are offering him a position as an assistant security manager to work in the head officer at Qatar. However, the HR for the teyseer wants my husband to quote a salary so this is what he has asked for

Salary - 12,500QR/mth with accommodation, medical benefits, return trip to singapore, car allowance and family status.

I would possibly be following my husband but maybe at a later stage. Please advice if this is the appropriate salary for this position. Thank you very much.

On what are you basing your 20,000 to 25,000?

Don't forget that people are making a life changing decision based on the responses. Don't treat it lightly!

yes, we are asking for 12,500QR as basic pay. We are pretty simple people, we dun club or drink, so that cuts down the cost.... vignale, should the 20-25K be basic or all inclusive?  The HR manager has got back to my hubby thru email. He was quite vague and did not say anything about the basic salary (whether it is acceptable or high or low) He said that the company will provide a company maintained car (free fuel), free medication, accommodation, 30 days annual leave with air ticket to SG and food (when family is not around)  Any idea about the company?  How big it is?

vignale ? 20K to 25K?

@sg-gal ... if you dont have kids and no loan to pay in Singapore, i guess thats an OK salary for singaporean. Consider that a tax free too ... i think you can make a good life with that.

can i confirm it again that QR 12.500 is the basic and not including with the allowance?

Mind you if you used to the lifestyle in Singapore you might find Qatar somewhat different ....

yeah we are both singaporean... in terms of CPF, we are pretty okie cos' both of us used to be civil servants but now self employed. The basic pay should be able to cover the cpf component as well... but we are not so concern abt it cos' our flat has been fully paid up and we are loan free. We are just looking to have the opportunity to do something different. We have no kids, so this is the best time to work overseas.  Thank you
