Depends Andee, if his kids are with him he will be classified as married in some companies as he still has the family obligation. Even if he is married and comes without his family I do believe they will class him as single status.
I would assume that they would classify you as "single" if your divorced cause they only pay for the family if they are with you - and being divorced this would not be the case correct?

It is your benefits package that will differ. You wont get flights, schooling or accomodation for a family you dont have :)
The government has different pays for married vs. single (i.e police) but am sure this is not applicable to you.

depends on the company...some companies have a different Basic for Married and Unmarried
but there will be a difference in allowances.
