i think its to low bro. im here in pinas pero malaki pa pay ko. I think you need to consider your current pay (if your currently working) plus you are not in your comfort zone. If not then make sure you wont be tied up with them(I think its the No Objection Certificate) and apply for other companies when you arive.

guys ask ko lang(also to give idea to brownice), is it possible to move to other companies without finishing the contract considering you are assured to be giving the No Objection Certificate ?

Its the least we can share sayo 'tol..knowing the company's performance is also knowing the background..higit sa lahat kung paano sila magpasweldo ng tao..

try to negotiate for a bit more.. even with food and transpo included kulang pa ren yung 1.5k.. and also think about the lenght of contract. if you sign for 2yrs, it means yun ang salary mo for 2yrs and dont expect any pay rise during that time.

as for accomodation, ndi lahat ng company nagpoprovide ng magandang tirahan. i've heard rumors that in some companies 3 person in 1 room ang accomodation. depende sa company na mapupuntahan mo..

the important thing is to ask your employer to include in the contract that in the event that you resign, assuming you dont have financial debt to the company(salary advances) and you have to file at least 1 month notice then they will guarantee to issue you a No Objection Certificate. importante kasi yan dito.

Good luck on your negotiations pre.. ;)

ok lang kung OT... pero considering na magkano lang ba ang per hour mo sa basic salary mo?? 1.25% of your basic salary or 1.5% during holidays... anyway its your desisyon...

tip is ... if the company are not willing to transfer your RP... that's god, don't let it 'coz along the way... you might find a better one.... the post that they give to you, in the future you may be able to deal with a different company... and you can transfer anytime.

good luck bro...

'tol hwag basta maniwala sa sabi-sabi..it should always be black and white..ot here is not that open as it is..may regulations sila na pinapairal..but if you really insist and you dont have any choice, why not..keysa andyan sa pinas na mas lalo hirap kitain ang pera..

thanks for your advice guys!

in addition, the company told us that overtime is not a problem. parang OT till you drop. with that, i wll be earning more than 1.5k, given that we have 2hrs min OT per day. would it still be unacceptable?

if you have other option and this is better, go for it. very hard to go from one job to another here specially if company sponsor. it will be very hard to live on that salary. that i agree with Knapp.

Lets drink to that!!!

i agree. its quiet low. even if all expenses are provided, i doubt that you will be satisfied with the quality they will provide. most likely you will also be going out for some leisure time and you'll need to spend.

However if you look at it closely, they have offer you accomd, food and transpo too.

so if you just need to survive without any other expenses then you can still save that 1.5K.

unless .... what else do you plan to do while you are living in Qatar?

Pare, our standard nationality compared to others are above average, we filipinos can communicate well and also can be an asset to any company.

Try to take an inclusive package, i think it will reach a minimum of QR. 7K.

Maraming company na ganyan dito bro..tyaga lang.

yes, even your single.

There's a possibility that you'll survive but you can't give your remittances with that offer.

hi guys! thanks for your advice.

its really hard to find a job with good salary now a days... this is due to global crisis... most of the companies are taking advantage of our current economic situation.

anyway, i need your prayers guys so that i can now find a job with nice package.., or if you can help me find a job, it would be highly appreciated. thanks!

When you are evaluating whether a package is worthy of accepting you will be looking at several issues. You will probably want to avoid being broke all the time.. So I say, NO! don't grab it.. considering the cost of living here in Qatar.
