Qatar Gratuity - Allowances Included?
Dear All,
I have just received an offer letter from the Client that they have included most of the salary (50%) under allowances.
Question, it mentions that the gratuity is based on Qatar Labour Law which I have checked and found that no terms specified whether the allowances are served part of the gratuity to be paid to his employee.
Why they want to apportion the salary scheme like that if gratuity is counting the allowances? Is it a requirement in Qatar to spread the remuneration? The only reason that I can think of is that they do not want to take high risk if one day he may want to terminate us.
Your advices are greatly appreciated.
The end-of-service gratuity is on base salary only. That's why 50% of your salary is in allowances!
