I am getting a permanent position with Top Auditing firm as Senior IT Consultant in Doha for a monthly salary of 16000 QR without accommodation. I am married with no kid, and currently have a well paid job in India. Do you think I can have decent lifestyle and expect to save something too??

Its a gud offer but would have been an icing on a cake if ur employer would have given u the accomodation as well..Neways,we INDIANs can adjust newhere..its a decent amount seeing that u have no kid at present..u can save well for some years..I hope ur wife isn't a pure HOUSEWIFE kindda person..It would be really an advantage to both of u alls bank balance if she would also work..

Rents r getting cheaper here..1bhk may cost u QR 4000-5000 and 2bhk 5000-7500 per month..U may get furnished/semi furnished flats on much negotiation..Monthly expense for ur daily necessities may vary between QR 2000-2500..I hope it may solve ur problem..BEST LUCK !!!

Alloting a 5000 for accommodation and 2000 monthly expenditure you have 9000 left. It is about 110k in Indian rupee. If what you save in India is less than half of this then you can think of moving in. Otherwise it is not worth.
