rockstar: well 3000 is not enough in any scenario buddy (unless that is just the basic salary with separate housing and transport); we don't know your lifestyle, previous salary and saving habits but regardless; 3000 just won't do. Two years experience should be able to get you at least 5k which may be more manageable for a frugal single guy..best of luck:-)

I have been job-hunting for several months now. I have 10+ years' ME experience in procurement and warehousing. I have a transferable visa. However, I am yet to receive an interview call. Possibly, there are other factors other than qualifications and experience involved in the selection criteria such as having the nationality desired by the HR manager. I believe nationality may be a major influencing factor in the selection criteria. So just keep trying and ask God for help.

Getting job in Qatar is not easy . The payment is also very low if you some how get hold of one . The best thing you are competing with the fair skin guys , the local s and the Filipino . Not easy .

1) 2 months is not a very long time in qatar. landing a decent job does frequently take time here. in your desperation, don't accept any stingy offers from poorly managed companies.

2) i feel online recruitment moves slow in qatar. applying to big places only may not be the best way to go about it.

3) you only have 2 years' experience which may not work with these big companies that usually look for a more advanced skill set.

4) you can try 'casting your net wide'; you could place an advertisement in the newspaper and also call in person at some smaller companies. some places do let you meet HR or at least directly deliver your cv to them.

5) procurement and logistics is something most companies need, so a slight change in approach may be all that's needed.

6) you are on a visit visa which depending on your nationality may be an issue. however this is just a point to consider and not worry too much about.

7) most importantly, consider whether your cv is making the right impression. if you are not getting any interview calls, it may be a good idea to review your cv and see if it can be improved.

be patient, pray and keep trying. best of luck:-)
