When saying basic salary you mean the minimal one, it starts from QR500 without upper limits. $1=QR3.65 (fixed rate), 1euro=QR4.869 at this moment. The salary (even the basic) depend on the job, position, company, nationality and negotiation. As said in the above posts, to get a propper information you have to be more specific.
I think there is some confusion caused by the word "basic". In Qatar your basic salary is the amount of cash you bring in (e.g. it does not include allowances, bonuses, etc). So your basic could range from less than $200 USD to over $50,000USD a month.
I think what they mean to ask is what is the minimum wage, or the lowest you can be offered. I don't believe there is any legal minimum wage in the Qatari labor law, but I am not an expert on the subject. I do know people who make less than $200 USD a month, and there are also thousands of laboror who have not been paid for months which I would guess makes the minimum wage zero.
Be specific on what you are asking. The basic salary depends on position of the job. Ex. Basic Salary of an Engineer is different from basic salary of Technician, basic salary of Manager is different from basic salary of Supervisor. Basic salary of skilled worker is different from basic salary of non-skilled.

There is no basic salary here - completely depends on job, nationality etc. Do some research on the forums and in posts - you'll learn a lot.
it depends on ur definition of the word "basic"...
anyways, i guess that the normal salaries for Qataries is around $5000 (in USD).. and for non qataries is around $2500..
this doesn't mean that there are no people who have around $300 per month.. there are.
currency is Qatari Rial
are u serious? Is this the xtent of ur research?
For G....s sake get into the present century where information is available everywhere!
