The average salary of $279 for Filipinos shows why so many are here. Same for India.

This same article was somehow used as a Qatar bashing thread yesterday.

I find this OP much more appropriate to the BBC report.

I find it interesting that there are such differences between GDP/PPP per capita ranking is so different from salary rankings. it shows which countries are making their money from investments and such vs. salaries. USA is 4th on salaries but 7th in GDP per capita. Qatar is first in GDP per capita but modest in salaries.
