Work hours in Rasgas

By it happens

I want to know what are the typical work hours like in Rasgas? LIke 7.30 -4.30 or 9 to 6
Generally as a company do they encourage work life balance? I read in some posts that they have very long work hours and work on weekends as a rule.
I want to know what to expect when I come there..

RasGas is having one of the best working environment in the country. You did not mention what is your position. Admin staff has got a very pleasureable working hours 7-3. A lot of people claiming to be RasGas employees ( in fact some of them are hired by some Contractors ) are complaining about long working hours. It is better you check with your Contract.

Secondly what is the harm if it is a project based technical job, to work more hours ? They already offer handsome salaries

The long hours thingy is rubbish!! I've heard that contractors do that though. So if you are being recruited by Ras Gas, then you needn't worry. If you are being hired by a man-power supply company for Ras Gas - you rather ask to see a contract from your prospective employer.

7-3 in most cases (SUN-THU) the only exceptions are if there is a diff timing requirement by the project and if you are working shifts - but anyways the law does not allow you to work for more than 8 hrs (exception to overtimes)
