I fly BA and far eastern airlines like Cathay Pacific, Draginair, EVA and S'pore more. BA's service is pretty basic even though they have someone as important as 'inflight directors' onboard. The rest are usually good but I like Draginair more because flight attendants are more attentive. And the complimentary Haggan-Daz ice cream too :o)

QR's service is not consistent: I fled her three times. Twice were good, flight attendants were professional. But one was bad. No cantonese announcement throughout the whole flight which was from HK. Couldn't accept.

i agree 2 aviduser ...qr is great to ravel with thou i feel if like u said al baker leaves ...more crew may come but the airline would b at the top n so recognized

ek cabin crew hav the reputation of havin a bad attitude ...qr crew hav always had a very helpful approach

As for my experience, the attendants are very friendly and attentive. They are considerate on the excess baggage. They are generous giving miles and very accommodating in terms of redeeming the miles rewards. Travelling to West Africa, Emirates made easy for me!

But I must admit the inconvenience of stop-over in Dubai in every flight though I never really had big hassle in DXB Airport in fact I met few nice people while waiting for my flight plus give me time to shop for something I forgot (always happen) ;-)

Qatar Airways is good flying from Doha to Bahrain!

Always have a comfortable flight and the food is generally pretty good even in Economy.

Although don't bother working for them, MR Al Baker is a nut that runs the place like a personal fiefdom. Hopefully he will leave and more flight attendants will join, they are currently very understaffed due to the bad reputation the company has for treating its staff.

Flying with them is great though, can't fault them. Oh except Doha check in can be a bit of a joke. New airport will improve this, The country has expanded quicker than its airport.

We are not as lucky as you ... we only can compare QR and EK in economy. I much prefer EK ... QR cabin crew just so down rude. :-)

Kingfisher Airline is simply superb. I fly with them during my recent holiday in India. BOMBAY/GOA/BANGALORE/BOMBAY. Excellent service both on ground and in the air.

I agree with Oliv, the airlines seems to have double standard. Almost all airlines bound to SE Asia and Africa had awfull service except for SIA.......

actually, concerning QA, it all depends on where you go.

I was amazed when I first came to Doha from Paris. Brand new hi-tech aircrafts. Very good on-board service. Either in Economy or Business. I don't imagine what it could be in First.

But lately, I went to Kuala Lumpur with QA. I was wondering how the plane could still fly... The cabine service was horrible, no movies because of a really bas audio reception.

My favourite singapore airline.

Never had luck with Qatar Airways, either always delayed or cancel!!!

BA cattle class really bad... no leg room at all.

I just find it very good!

Emirates, Gulf Air & Qatar Airways are equally good!

emirates airways and singapore airways are the best.

i have heard that etihad is really good too.

Emirates is superb for in flight service as well as airport services. Srilankan airlines scores for their genuine hospitality.

Years back I travelled Saudi Arabian Airlines.... horrible is too soft a word to express everything about that airline. Inflight service, ground handling, everything is bottom-class !!!

Gulf Air is marginally better than Saudi Arabian Airlines.

Ofcourse Qatar Airways fare are higher than Emirates, esp. to a direct destination from Doha!!

I WOULD PREFER EMIRATES!! QA ALTHOUGH THEY CLAIM TO B A FIVE STAR AIRLINE, THEY STICK TO THAT STANDARD IN TERMS OF FARES, RATHER THAN SERVICES!
