Asia is getting younger & Europe is getting older
Majority of the Asian population is younger as compared to the European, because European adults are strongly trending to delay their marriages, which is resulting in lesser quantity of young population.
With this cultural practice in the offing, the Europeans would be in need of more and more of younger immigrants, till this practice turns into a reversing order.

Now the youth is looking for everything towards the Net .......... Govt & parents are enjoying the freedom ...........
Govt took the role of parents by giving facilities and in the process parents became lazy & youth has lost direction ............
Brit, Then why the parents don't object to the municipality's plans to give then beer 24 hrs a day ? ............. ......... Why the youth don't choose the health instead beer , music & fashion and cold bread with tomotoes from the road side stalls ? ..................
There is a gap here ............ Either the parents don't know the purpose of the baby producing or the kid does not know what to do with the life ................... that's why there is unbalance in the world .............
WT, Nice to know that you are a responsible parent ......... Sometime I feel babies come here with a purpose or just brought in & brought up ....... that's all ..............
MM: This is a myth. Not all parebts kick their kids out at 18. They support them through university and start of work etc
It's just that children are taught to be more independent and self supporting in the west..
But the problem is the kid is left to fend for herself / himslelf after few years ..............
This is why Canada turned to immigration.
As WT says, children have to be reared and cared for.
In the East, bearing children is seen as a must. In the West, some adults choose not to as a lifestyle choice.
MM, it is not enough to give birth and have a maternity leave. A quality education costs money after all. I spent 3 million Riyals in Qatar on my two kids to give them a starting point in life. This is the responsibility of parents. We don't just "make" babies, we also raise them properly.

Yes, Europe is already giving incentives for the new moms ......... with long leave & some gadgets when they bring in a new baby .........................
WT, you can see how rizanqs replies with self-confidence without seeing the situation around the surroundings. Too busy with playing games than assessing what is reality! It is evident and common now with younger generations. They are too busy in their own world and self-centred.
The "social unrest" is already here. The average age of suicide bombers is between 19 and 29. There are no 65-year-old suicide bombers! The requirements for success are higher than 50 years ago. Many young people cannot cope with that. (See the suicide rate in South Korea or in Scandinavia). These "unsuccessful" young people are easy prey for "older leaders".
rizanqs, they are good in technology, but when it comes to finance and personal finance management, they fall behind the older generation. They spend money like water, spend money on the latest tech, when their current tech is good enough. Lots of unnecessary spending and they are more self centered, than the needs of family or their own children and wife. I do not think most younger generations these days have built up maturity. They are still heavily dependent and reliant on their parents. There dreams and talents are wasted with self-centre attitude and spending loads of time on their gadgets, rather than being constructive. There is already a trend where smart younger generations who are both constructive and balance their time well for family and their future growth has already put them on top of their generation and most have fallen behind, still being selfish and self-centred without care for their future. I think there will be a huge gap in the younger generation these days, the few smart ones will lead and the other will be robots, as long as their lives are well taken cared by the smart ones. Great Move on the younger generation, I am sure disagreements between smart and younger ones will ensue and possibly social unrest for the future.
All societies evolve. Such is the neature of things. Look around .. The "East" is beginning to copy the "West"
Younger generation is obviously more practical as there has been introduction to new technologies which were not available to the older generation. Youth has become more enthusiastic on learning the practical way of living. There is an enormous difference in their ideologies.
They have become more mature and do not hesitate to take some important decisions regarding their life(which includes their family). They are not even afraid to dream as they know that they can practically fulfill it with their efforts and use of technology. There is a huge generation gap separating these two generations and this is there to stay.
These days it doesn't matter where you are from, imported, exported, fresh of the boat...what color of your skin is... we are all red blooded A B AB and O, we have smarter people and some not so smart. Definition of quality depends on what you are looking for in a person. West or East...who cares just find right people who can move the country forward.
After seeing the posts of several people from the West, I can very well judge the "quality" of people they are producing.
Of course, if you need soldiers you need some young idiots.
Less quantity, more quality. What's wrong with it?
