"Authentic Greek food" Shame on you

When will people in this country wake up and act professional?

I am sure many of you passed by this place, even during its construction phase that took a while to complete. Unfortunately, neither the law or the people under it care about any other country's image and heritage, where their foods are a great part of it.

I park my car next to this place and an Indian man comes out to hand me the menu, which is quite normal so far. I specifically ask the guy

1- Is this a real Greek place?
2- The man said Yes sir
3- I ask, are you sure the Chef is greek?
4- The guys says Yes sir

I open the menu and could not even locate anywhere any Greek dish... I thought it is one of these things lost in translation even though the place had a good investment that went into it. I just said, I will try your Suvlaki... The guy was clueless!.... Here again, I thought maybe he is new?? I mean why would he Lie to me when I asked if the place was greek... and why would it say Authentic Greek food if it is not?!!

I asked for something that looked like a suvlaki even though the name was different.
In the process of them making it, I decided to come down check out the place.
I enter and I noticed that EVERY single employee and Chef is either Indian or from Philippines. The general Manager, Indian was told by the other guy that I asked if the place was Greek..

Now this is where it gets crazy. Instead of coming and saying sorry for lying to you in your face... He comes to me with the other guy giggling and laughing and telling that..."we got you, you thought it was Greek and we fooled you kinda thing" Then they had the decency to ask me to tell them websites they can get Greek named dishes to re-label their menu!!!!!

Please someone tell me, What is WRONG with these people? I mean What happened to Shame? What happened to morals? What happened to being honest at least with yourself??

I am sorry but if you call your place Authentic Greek Food and your menu is more like the Hot n Cold indian place, then you one sad phony restaurant owner.. Shame on whoever created that place and the authorities should take action. You just can't go around ruining countries cousine

I'd love to know if they played this with anyone else.
thx

"dude lemme guess..are you from Delhi, Bhaiyyaland or the Hindi heartland"

Lol...xpressodoc ... relax doc... you know me well... we met on the other site ;-) ... OK...Now your favorite question - How would you rename the movie Dragonball in Hindi?

I think the reason is because it would be quite stupid to look at a guy in a tho-be and ask if he were Arab..you would ask which Arab state he was from..in the same way due to genetic differences Indians look quite distinct from Pakistanis, Bangladeshis and Nepalese most of the time..so when asked the question where are you from he would say Kerala bearing in mind that you already know he is Indian..plus it saves an extra question and a breath..

Seto,

Did you read anywhere in my post my request for restaurant suggestions?

I just fail to understand the logic of some people. IF someone is complaining about a greek food

restaurant that Lied to him. Why would you recommend an Indonesian Restaurant??

What a weird country.. really
