First off, Nikki Belluci and Lil Wayne have nothing to do with us, just to inform you, we don't like to confuse people.

desivibez - The Tiesto lighting setup was designed by tiesto management, it's still the biggest and best set-up to be constructed in Qatar...

Check out the video's, we thought it was amazing.

Regarding drinks prices, these are cheaper than most bars in Doha.

We have more big nights like the Tiesto one on the way, stay tuned on www.globaldjs.org or on our facebook group http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2234697098

Regarding us and other event makers, Qatar and the middle east in general pay more for artists than in the states and Europe, this is because it takes time to travel and they miss other dates if they where all close together in Europe for example, it is also down to the expensive nature of the middle east.

Im sure you all know that is not cheap to live in the ME, its not cheap to bring such artists either, the event makers are not making what you think they are, it costs a HUGE amount to do and event, even BEFORE you book an artist.

Everyone's view's and comments have been taken on board to improve for the future.

Thanks again everyone for their support on the tiesto night, it really was something special, we have one massive night every month, stay tuned for the next big thing..

Tiesto is jus an European Trance thingy!

But how can u ever compare Lil Wayne with Tiesto!!!!

Lil Wayne Acheivements:

4 x Grammy 2009 award winner

- BIGGEST selling album in America in 2008

- Over a MILLION copies of ‘Tha Carter III’ sold in its first week!

- MTV Man of the Year 2008

Finally, +21 is such a huge issue to me. Specially in Tiesto's concert, the lady in "black" wouldn't let me in, because I was "20" what's the difference between 21 and 20? A couple of months! But anyways I got in, after she told me "I advise you to sell your tickets and leave, you're not getting in" but guess what "Shkbammmm" I was in, and how, don't ask me. Out of the blue, came some of the CID (or wtv it's called) and told me, "come in". And she acted like she couldn't see that! :@ Aghhhhh! She was just being stubborn for NOTHING! But on the other hand, I was stubborn and did not leave. It's Tiesto for God sake, she was so....Aggghhhh! Anyways the night was greaaaaaaaaaaaat! Tiesto was such a cutie!

I am sure I have seen a lot of QLers but ....hmmmmm....how can I possibly recognize who is who. :D

Then for u Lil wayne might be a tempting proposition since u just dont want to party rather u want to party big lolz

he is due in doha in mid of april ticket prices on high side though and the music will b hip hop and RnB.

but i m sure he will bring out a big crowd since the event is also open for under 21 placed separately from over 21s though in non-alcoholic chamber!!:)

Master Jay, I wanna say thank you for reading my comment and writing back. Iam afraid that the message regarding the "allowing cameras camera" made it to the lady at the entrance, because as I said, she still refused.

I really can't understand why an event like this should have a no-camera policy. I can understand that certain events or places require this rule to be enforced, but a DJ party ???

Anyway I hope for the next big name this issue will be a no-issue.

Keep up the great work....the setup was awsome. May I suggest for the next gig, please include lasers.

Cheers

Hi,

We appreciate all points above, and the aim as ever is to produce an amazing night...

The event was a technical sell out at 5000 people, there was more with Sponsors guest's,VIP's etc...

Regarding the camera's, i feel for you, i apologise for this, its policy to have no camera's at Tiesto shows, this was reversed later on as the managment thought it was to special for you all to miss, apologies if you missed out on this...

Tiesto loved Doha so much, he came on at 10:30pm until 2am, he wanted to go longer, but its not possible here, he was supposed to do 12-2 only, so an extra 1:30 mins is amazing...

I worked on the Van Dyk event as well. I can't compare them as Tiesto and last night are both in a league of their own, the setup, graphics, efx etc, it outdone anything else that has happend here.

Tiesto was more than excited and kept talking about Doha and asking so many questions, he is the nicest DJ i have ever met, full stop, hands down... He wanted to do so much but due to time restrictions through extensive touring and schedualing, its just not possible to fit in extra things..

Search Tiesto in Doha and Tiesto in Qatar on youtube, then you will see the energy and this amazing happening that was Tiesto In Doha...

Official event pics and video's are on the way...

All points have been taken on board and will be discussed for the future..

Have a great week... J

Man i had plans on giving u a bell but since i arrived late i though might disturb u now in the heat of the moment plus it was too crowdy by then to find someone in there i lost all my 3 accompanying frnd in less than 10 minutes. But the event was good as a whole and the idea of just one place to buy drinks from was shambolic u had to spend a lot of time to get drinks it sucked

also the prices were on the highside but hey it still were same as at the housexy in pearl marriot.

they loot you

to our Jordanian 'illegal' taxi driver that got us home with great conversation and a cheap rate. Not a Karwa taxi to be seen anywhere when we needed one. If they cant provide a service then others will.

The issue that got me pissed off was that the lady at the entrance (dressed in black) refused to let me take my SLR inside. She insisted that photographt was not allowed. That was at around 10:30 pm. So I walked all the way back and left the camera in the car. To my great surprise, I would say 95" of people were carrying cameras and taking shots.

After about an hour, and after seeing many people also carrying SLR cameras, I decided to go back and try asking nicely if I can bring my camera inside. I spoke to the same lady and still she insisted that no cameras are allowed. When I mentioned that many inside are carrying cameras she then told me "professional cameras are not allowed? WTF ???????????

***************************************************

If any of the organizers are reading, take note : on your website you were advertising this as the biggest event to happenin Qatar (and it is). And yet I was not allowed to capture any of this with my camera. Very very disappointing. I know on the back of the tickets it was mentioned that no photography was allowed, but at the very least I would expect this rule to be applied to all.

******************************************************

When the gig finished and we were walking out, I noticed a man carrying a Nikon digital SLR, same brand as mine. So I asked him if anyone gave him any hassles, and he said no. AGAIN.....WTF ??????????

As for the gig itself, AWSOME sound system. The best yet for any event of this type in Qatar. However Tiesto choice of music left a lot to be desired. Suffice to say that the Paul Van Dyk gig had much more energy to it. And photography was allowed also.

Sorry for rambling on, but I wanted to "vent out" some anger at what happened to me.
