"The real chinese food, we could not even swallow it, I tried once in france, it was horrible actually non spicy."

Poor you! I'll phone the Qatari and French Embassies' and see if we can make some spicy Chinese food to meet your Indian taste. You Ignorant fool.

Dont tell everyone, but all food does not have to be spicy.

I've tried all Chinese/Japanese/Asian restaurants in Doha.

some where good and became so and so and some were not good.

I am sorry if I can't say the difference between Asian cosines and I am trying to. but it is hard.

anyway. My brother took his Chinese friends to chopsticks in Grand Regency and they didn't recommended it.

the one at movenpick towers used to be good, but since they change the chef, the quality went down.

the one at the Marriott is so and so, depends on what you order.

anyone tried the one at Royal Plaza??

basically We are from India and Pakistan love chinese food prepared with our own spicy style, which is not available in Doha so far.

The real chinese food, we could not even swallow it, I tried once in france, it was horrible actually non spicy.

But somehow in Qatar Golden Dragon's food have good taste and heard from friends a good chinese food available (noodles and soups) at west bay petrol station next to BR and Bateel (don't know the name of food shop).

We visited the Tai snack shop. Dirty, hot, cheap, and food was fair.

But we have become regulars at Bejing. We have not had a bad meal there yet, out of probably 15, we eat there at least once a week, close and reasonable for the amount you get. If you like hot and spicy, like I do, the Beef with Green chili's will make sweat pour off your forehead. The sizzling chicken is very good also, not as spicy. Spring rolls melt in your mouth. Gettin hungry just thinking of it. The service is sometimes slow. We have had many meals there and brought guests there also. All of them were impressed. If it aint authentic, well then I really dont want authentic. We are sold on the place.

I plan on visiting the place that was mentioned by TV roundabout this weekend, never know, might be great too.

And I thought it was excelent...

It kinda looks like a dump from outside but the tables and all were very clean.

I asked if they have that grilled beef that you put in a lettuce leaf and dip in the red sauce and he said they do. In korea they grill it right in front of you but he said they have to grill it in back...Will try it next time. They have a huge menu Half is korean food and half is japanese...The hard part is to decide what to order.

The restuarants mentioned by Kareena in Pakistan are not pure chinese resataurants , rather the taste is accustomed to the local Pakistani taste. However, the food is amazing. In Doha, unfortunately there is no good or even reasonable chinese restaurant. Beijing sucks big time.

my opinion, if you want a chinese food with more original taste, you can go to Shanghai Garden in city center, Great Wall behind ramada ...

However, if you prefer chinese food with more western taste you can go to Ruby Wu in Ramada Plaza or Wok of Fame in Villagio.

I can not say which one is better, it depends on your personal taste ...

Those restaurants are not Pakistani restaurants.. They are Chinese restaurants run by Chinese immigrants.. There are thousands of Muslim Chinese immigrants settled down in Pakistan especially Karachi and they run the business..

Since I did not have a Chinese host we went to the Bejing restaurant. I was very pleased. Living in Texas we like our food spicy. I was very pleased that the menu there catered to our taste buds. I found the place fantastic. The food was very good, the amount you were given was plenty, the price was reasonable, and the service ok. I will go back there often, as I found it very good with a nice atmosphere. New people to doha please take notice, worth the trip here. We tried the Great Wall a few weeks ago and found it not to be nearly as good as the Bejing restaurant across from the Mega mart. I appreciate all of your comments. Now, where can you get small shrim to make a gumbo?
