Black and White @ the W last Night

Well, what can I say. What truly interesting evening in qatar. Not the first all last.
Let me start by saying how awful the party was. When you receive an invitation to 'strictly black and white clothing only' you wonder what it might mean?. People arrived in all manner of colour? not the b&w I thought clearly. After being pleased on the table reserved for us we were informed that we had to purchase 2 bottles from the menu. Fine I thought until realising this did not mean wine, but spirits at WTF! prices. Cheapest thing you could purchase was Stoli Vodka for 775 QAR!! I can buy this from the QDC for less than a 100 QAR and they expected me to buy two. And considering 2litres of vodka to consume between 6 is allot even for a alcoholic. Of course we refused and decided to stand and bought drinks as we went. If anyone else went to this silly event and actually enjoyed themselves please post beneath. And if you decide to venture to one of these again you might want to apply for a personal loan first to cover the bar bill?
Another successful event in Doha

Really... after a couple of years in Doha I can assure that you cannot expect good service, good food, fair prices, or anything that is accorded or promised. Lower your expectations and you still are going to be dissapointed.

This place is so far behind any kind of customer service that makes me wonder how come they dont stop and THINK about actually LEARNING how to do things properly.

I do think the bottom line problem is the local ego... doesnt give room for improvement.

Dude, I hear you bro. It's ridiculous. I have been there a few times now, and the staff are pretty bad, not to mention the manger who's an all around prick.

Should just stick to house parties, it'll be cheaper and more fun.

Peace,
