Award winning chef Ricardo Acquista from The Ritz-Carlton’s Porcini Italian restaurant will be taking food aficionados for an Italian getaway, where participants will learn the planning and preparation of a great menu that they can easily present to family and friends at home with two Master Classes.
To be held tomorrow and on March 10, each class includes a three-course menu, focusing on basic fine dining, molecular cuisine techniques, proper equipment needs, and plate presentation. Classes are followed by degustation of the menu presented.
Following this short culinary weekend escape, Chef Ricardo will leave his little Italy on March 19 as he journeys with guests to La Mer restaurant on the top floor of The Ritz-Carlton, Doha to host his first Chef’s Table, promising a limited number of participants with an exclusive interaction.
The show kitchen invites privileged guests to see the First Prize winner of Doha Food Festival 2012 Competition demonstrate molecular cuisine and the preparation of their four-course Patagonian-themed dinner.
The dining experience includes commentary on each dish, explaining food pairing concepts and themes, and addressing queries throughout the event.
At the end of the evening, each guest will receive a recipe booklet as a gift to remember.
Chef Ricardo’s passion behind his cooking is the connection he finds between the hand, heart and mind to discover new tastes from different ingredients and cuisines from around the world.
Mediterranean cuisine is Ricardo’s most desired cuisine as this is where his passion for cooking originated. Influenced by the ingredients and traditional dishes from Italy, he is able to incorporate this into his current cooking techniques as well as what he has taken from his culinary journeys around the world.
