Moving from the USA and would like to find out where/what activities are available for families.

Are there social groups, clubs for families, children's organizations?  I am looking for interaction with all peoples not just Americans.

What volunteering organizations are in Doha?

you will find that there are lots of activities organised for families. Qatar is ideal when you have small kids.

I suggest you visit this foru: www.expatwoman.com. I know they organise coffe parties and other things. You can also get hold of the Marhaba where many activity groups get advertised. Or join a Hotel Club and you can meet other families.
