Is it right to spend work time on the web?

I don't mean to be rude, but I seriously think that many people are only spending so much time on the web that their jobs are not done properly or not done at all!

We always complain about how services in this country are generally not up to level or are late... or how about the way companies treat customers with continuous delays...

Don't you think that spending so much time on the web contributes to the lack of efficiency in getting the work done?

If all of us do the same, we are the ones to blame. So when you complain about a certain service, think of your self wasting precious time on the web instead of doing your job properly and you will see that it is only normal to get such lousy services and delays...

It is normal to have a few brakes a day, but to spend 80% or 90% or more on the web?! Come on...
Some people are even bragging about it!

And let us not bring up excuses such as the quality of time spent on the job not the quantity of time, because it only goes to show that we don't even want to confess our lack of morality in this matter.

A complete job needs both time and quality dedication to get it right!

Please share your thoughts in a constructive manner...

For those that have asked the question of why I do it my self:

I do spend some time on the internet, especially during my break times. But not all the time, and not more than one hour a day...

Thanks to Dracula that pointed out that after one year, I only have around 250 points only.

I am also glad to have majorly participated in informative articles and answering new people with their matters in Doha, because I believe that helping others is a positive and constructive contribution.

Midfielder 4,

I am not against surfing during work, but to spend most of the work time? This is the main issue...

Before the internet, people talked together had a coffee or tea, played a game, but not for most of the time!

I think most employers expect a bit of private surfing during work hours. I mean is almost impossible to stop.

Most of the QL members log on from their offices. So, if you are advising everyone not to do so, then Bye Bye members :)
