So I was out dining at the Trader Vic's Bar in the West Bay area of downtown Doha, with tow of my close friends at the Hilton resto pub lastnight, when I saw 4 Hejabi girls walk into the bar, there were also a couple of local guys in Qatari thobs and they were getting drunk.

I was bamazed to see locals chilling out at a bar like it's nobody'sbusiness!

Are locals allowed to drink alcohol in public now?
Im confused!

In sheraton it is not allowed to get in for the local girls.

But anyway when you see something you don't like, close your eyes :-)

pity when they advertised they said its a restaurant...with nice 3 part cuban music where you can enjoy your meal with a glass of wine, smoke free, when i got there...eiee...so many young kids getting drunk...huffing and passing the smoke..i think its slowly turning to be like the harp. WILD!!!!

Qatar is a democratic country and everyone is allowed to enjoy the way they want.

so Saudis are called Soudis too hm? sooo uuu dis hilarity... anyhow, they shouldn't since its not morally right. Freedom doesn't run for infinity it has its limit.

Trader Vic's isn't a bar, its a restaurant, so local dress is allowed, even if you are drinking.

Yeah I've seen guys in thobe's getting drunk in there...

Doesn't bother me at all and they should be free to do what they want.

BUT I like Trader Vics and hope it doesn't get shut down! like the pearl :-(

Good to know that unlike the Soudis, they don't have to run to Bahrain to get drunk..
