Meetings in Doha

Hello to everyone here,
I am new in this forum and still am not in Qatar, but am dealing with one company, so who knows maybe I will move to Qatar too.
I am from small country Lithuania and I don't know our people here. So I want to ask are you, foreign people living in Qatar, making meeting? How often? What else you are doing together? Are here anybody who has teenagers kids?
Thanks a lot for you replies :)

osamabawab,

Sure I want and am going to communicate with local people too and I sure you all are doing this. But in same would be nice to know people from other countries too. Because local people maybe never moved to another country and can't help or understand even if they want. Foreign people who already moved, already know all steps and sometimes can recommend you not to do same mistakes. I know what it means, one year ago I moved to Turkey, so always in the beginning is good to get right help.

Yes, my daughter still is and will be next 2 years in a school. But she is doing and will school from our country via internet from any place where we live and will live. For this reason I am asking for people who have teenagers there in Doha. But maybe she will go to a school there too, just for to learn Arabic and to be together with kids in her age.

If your daughter is 16 she still has 2 more years in school. She will meet same aged people there everyday.

Yes, I understand are a lot of places where to go out, but for me is important how and where my daughter can find friends and better who knows English. Because alone for her will be boring.

Egle: by asking "foreign people living in Qatar, making meeting?" sounds as if we "Foreign ppl" are very less comparing with local ppl, but the fact here is the opposite:

about 80% of Qatar population is Foreign from different countries all over the world

and 20% only are the locals

Welcome Egle,

There are plenty of Eastern Europeans here, from Ukraine, Latvia, Poland, Serbia and the list goes on.

Now the question is there any activities for Teenagers here, Yes and No all depends on what a teenager from Lithuina wants. There are cinimea and big malls for teenagers to hangout, beaches and thats about it!

Yeap, I am blonde female from European Union, ok ok from Eastern Europe :). But I am looking not for this kind of friends. I am looking for normal friends for me and my 16 years old daughter.

If you're female and from Eastern Europe, then you'll have no trouble meeting people and making friends.

Welcome!
