Playstation scenario in Doha?
My grandchild had recently started tinkering with a Playstation 3. One of his first games on the new console is called Fallout 3. It is about a nuclear apocalypse which laid the USA to waste.
I have never had a chance to see the Playstation 3 in action before. It was a revelation. The graphics are absolutely amazing. And the game caught my attention because it displays a rich eye for details. One imagery which constantly repeat in the game is that of the ‘three circles’ depicting radio-activity.
I was thinking about this and travelling when the exact same symbol caught my eye. And it was in the middle of the road, painted onto the back of a truck. I was stunned.
Here was someone carrying radioactive materials right through the centre of a busy street. Correct me if I’m wrong, but if he suffered an accident and rolled over, wouldn’t the material leak and cause harm to passers-by? From the looks of the truck, it didn’t look like it was reinforced much. Anyways, I clicked a few pictures.
Here they are. What do you think? I strongly feel there should be some sort of rules to keep such vehicles off main roads. It is good for everybody’s safety, don’t you think? I hope the authorities do take note.
It could be HMC Waste.....they do produce Radioactive waste
yeah xena boom is the name of the Company.. and i must say the company will boom very soon lol ;)

Quite stunning, isn’t it ??
The funny thing is that the truck carrying the “radioactive” materials belongs to a company called BOOOOM !!
These people have a real sense of humor.
Wanderer, you don’t seriously think the truck is actually carrying radioactive waste ???
Anyway, the sign you are referring to is not for radioactive materials, it is for bio-hazardous materials, not sure of what kind.
I am sure that the authorities here are quite strict about the transportation of hazardous materials. It probably looks scarier than it really is, though your post is quite interesting.
Take care and stay away from trucks with funny names :)
The sign on the truck is for biohazard and not radioactive.
Thats a truck carrying biohazardous material probably from Hamad hospital. Waste(tissues, organs, waste consumables) from hospitals are considered as biohazardous.
