Sometimes it will all depends on interest on the perculiar subject. The younger generations internet addict has thousand of sites that suites their taste. Maybe this one is of less priority and will not achieve the visitors level target.

Even if we have to move with time, theres a need to appreciate and adjust one self. Sensitivity to change and appreciate new facts. We don't have to glorify too much past events while rejecting new inventions that we are enjoying in this century.

In these times, Islam has to prove to young people that it still has some relevance to their lives.

In the West religion has been crowded out by the distractions of modern life, teenagers would rather facebook, youtube, myspace and xbox than think about Quaranic studies.

This attempt to engage with this audience should be praised, Islam has to move with the times and provide a relevance to the young people's lives in the 21st Century.

this thread is about the advertising in Qatar of these web 2.0 services by Islamweb and how they are embracing modern tech, what that means, etc.

any religion bashing will be moderated since this is on the frontpage.

That type of prayer is not valid in Islam, so are we talking about Christianity or Hinduism ?

Examples are some prayers are now conducted through a webcam to PCs at all houses now. No need for the faithful to gather at prayer location. Useful in times of H1N1 virus as well.

One problem in the past has been that the "theologians" and religious leaders have been out of touch with the nw generation and technology in general.

This is a good move.
