Rugby Club membership is closed. they will open again in May/June. Unless you already know someone to sing you in you can't enter.

All thank you for your comments, tips ect. Yes I need to explore more. The problem is I have everthing with my appartment so I don't need to go out.And going to a bar on your own is not the most fun part. But I think is really nessecary to make the first step.

Hi - welcome to Qatar.

It can be a lonely place for people on their own. My husband was here for three months on his tod and he was very lonely.

He played golf, went to gym (a lot) and watched more television than normal. So quite lonely.

If you live in your own place and not in a Hotel; ask some of your mates round for beers and a card game.

Enjoy your stay here and good luck. x

paclvb, maybe you could try Irish Harp, the Rugby Club or something like that.

Good luck, I know it's not that easy over here.

Paclvb, it's only some joke, pay no attention - that's just some people's idea of fun. Although, if they are foreigners, they've probably all been through this phase that you're in. Perhaps they forget too quickly.

Anyway, getting a social life here isn't that easy. Best to start with your workplace - it's the easiest, and then perhaps you can meet colleagues' friends, then their friends and so on... If colleagues aren't an option for you, joining some sort of group, playing a sport (rugby club, etc.), talking to people at a bar (probably safer to stick with men for starters)...this is the stuff I've heard newcomers being advised.

QL may also yield a few friends if you're regular here - in my case it has :)

I'm new here, too...sorry I can't be of much more help!

Nomerci , Thanks for your comment. Yes I'm a guy but I'm not looking for this kind of fun or contact. I want to have a social life after work. Because doing the same things day in day out is gets really borring

TLS, has it ever occurred to you that people may be lonely and just want to meet some other people to hang out with? Is there really need to suggest prostitutes to those people? I am sure they will find those without your help.
