Effectivement, je connaissais pas l'expression jusqu'à ce que tu la mentionnes l'autre jour.

J'ai fait ma petite recherche sur l'expression:

Cette expression semble être une référence au jeu de carte appelé "capot" dans lequel on disait "mettre un adversaire capot" pour signifier qu'il avait subi un échec, qu'il était ruiné. Il existait également un vêtement du nom de capote, qui a donné l'expression "prendre une capote", puis au fur et à mesure "prendre une veste". Cette expression a gardé le sens originel de "être capot", c'est-à-dire "subir un échec". La situation actuelle pourrait laisser penser à l'échec, peut être l'échec de ma tentation de communication, mais pas plus loin que ça.

"Nous" nous projetons vers la réussite sociale, sans pour autant voir simultanément ses revers. La dualité est pourtant là: réussite/échec vont ensemble et si on veut prendre la vie à bras le corps, il faut tout attraper !!!

I believe that there would most likely not be enough work in Doha to keep you in a full time job - the place is soo small for that type of thing and I think that, probably, advertisers etc.. will be looking for different faces all of the time - you know how it is!

Anyway.. I believe a possible contact in Qatar is Haytham Shehab (great photographer), last time I heard he was at stallion advertising... Qatar Vision may be worth contacting too for some tv ad work/music videos etc...

hey lina, the modeling business is very limited in qatar.. but the Virginia Common wealth University hosts fashion shows organized by senior graduates.. i know a couple of friends there that might be able to help u :) hope ur stay in qatar will be pleasant.

lina, before you start getting strange messages here, let me tell you, i dont think there are lots of fashion events that take place here, infact nil.

there is a fsahion desigining school that conducts its own shows but dont know if they call anyone specifically from outside.

i had seen some ads sometime back on QL looking for parttime models for ads and shows. if you browse here, you may find it.

there were similar ads in the gulf times too.

more than this, i cant help.you could browse the directory and see f you can find soemthing.
