Qatar Cup 2016 final will be live on Snapchat

The Qatar Stars League has announced that a Snapchat Live Story will be covering the Qatar Cup final this Friday at the Jassim Bin Hamad stadium in Al Sadd.

The Live Story will mark the first time a football event is covered in Qatar, following the success of Snapchat's Live Stories for Doha Live and Qatar Total Open.

Lekhwiya and El Jaish will battle it out in the the Qatar Cup final on April 29th. Lekhwiya beat QSL champions Al Rayyan enroute to the final while El Jaish booked their berth with a hard-fought victory over Al Sadd.

"Having a Snapchat Live Story for the Qatar Cup is a fantastic way to engage with football fans across the whole of Qatar and the GCC, highlighting the excitement and passion of the end of season tournament. Fans heading to the stadium for the Qatar Cup final should submit their Snaps so they can be considered for inclusion in the Live Story," said Khalifa Al Haroon, Executive Director for Marketing and Communications at the Qatar Stars League.
