5. You will be charged QAR 200 for converting visit visa to residence visa and QAR 500 for getting visa without exiting Qatar (you can choose to get visa by exiting to avoid QAR 500).

6. Go to Medical commission and present the paper visa and tell them you need to do a medical to convert visit visa to residence visa. There's no need to take your family with you as no medical checkup will be done again.

You will be charged QAR 100 again and the receipt will mention the purpose as 'Residence / Work visa'. Go to counter 64 where the officer will update his system so that the medical data will be sent to finger print office.

7. Go to the finger printing office at Mesaimer with all your receipts and get the finger prints done. Make sure to collect the finger print receipt.

8. After 4 days, go to Immigration office Gate 2 with all the documents and passport size photographs. If you forgot to get the finger print receipt then you will be directed to fill an application form. There is a counter available in Gate 2 where a person will help you fill out the form in Arabic and give you instructions.

Also, make sure to have a blood group report with you of your wife from any medical clinic/hospital in Qatar. You will be charged QAR 500 for one year RP. An eye scan will be required so make sure to take your wife along with you. Be at the office 6am - 9am or 3pm - 4 pm.

I also got visa and brought my family yesterday.

Recently i got my wife and my child visa date26-12-2017. But they did not ask for the agreement that my wife will not work.

I did submit my family visa application at gharffa on 26-10-2017, next day i check the status is was showing deffered, then i wait for 1 week and went to gharaffa moi office to check the status, they told me change your profesion on qid as per qualification. My qualification is mechanical engineer and profession was on qid refrig engineer. So i did submit all document to ministry of labour to change my profesion, after one day of submision i got sms your application for the profesion change approved. Then i visit to ministry of labour to check next step, they inform that bring new contract manual type with new profesion. Same day i did submit new contract and paid 60 qr. then they said your profesion change go to moi office to print new qid, so i went moi at gharaffa, but they ask ne to send your pro to print new qid,

I did inform my company, then after i week my company pro went and got new qid.

Then i got new noc letter from campany for new profesion and head to garaffa with new id copy, new contract, new noc.

I did submit then they ask me to check next week, i check next week again i visit to gharaffa to check the status then they ask me to bring bank statement for last month means november month, same day i did submit, again they ask me to check next week. Finaly after 2 weeks went to gharaffa they told your application is approved. But not ready for print. Wait for 3 days. After two days i received sms that visa is ready for print.

Then i head to moi at messamer and get print and change visa from visit to permanent. I paid 1400 for my wife and child for visia printing and changing visit to permanent.

Finally today the status changed to under process

Still now no change. I have to wrote letter in Arabic and sign. But I done it. Still the status same after two weeks. Our Immigration representative daily goes for follow up but no use until date.

they seek letter like that only. they are telling it is a new rule. How long time it will take to change the status after submitting relevant document

Why she should not work , in permanent visa? In visit visa it s not allowed ur case different
