Thanks Kadras2007! Your right forgot about that!

Britexpat: thanks for sharing the links above! Much appreciated! The reason I am not going to apply for family visa is because I would need to present 6 months bank statement. I am currently only 2 months here. I have child and wife left behind and need to bring them here)))

You say, what is the "best" option.. The best option is to apply for a family visa in the first place..

However, you can also convert a visit visa - See links ..

Air ticket is not required while applying visa. you can book the ticket after getting visa from immigration. that's safe.

After that, you can book the ticket with return. Your home country boarding guys will ask the return tickets before you departure from there.

Thanks. Kadars2007 for your reply.

Okay got it. So I have to book/buy tickets before going to immigration applying for family visit? So i will have tickets to show them? Or after getting visa when they enter to qatar they will show return tickets?

This is a law of Qatar, who come for visit visa they should have return ticket up to their home country. Example: If any problem occurs while your family entered in Qatar related document wise, Medical test..or Money Issue etc... then authorities to send your family using that ticket. Hope you understand. Changing visa from visit to Resident will be different than ticket issue.

And, Flat agreement is required based on immigiration offices, better to apply Al Khor or Al wakra offices, may you get without flat agreement.
