I applied for UAE visa through their website, does anyone have an idea that how long would it take to process.

Also, is it possible that you can get on arrival visa depending on the profession of the person, we have done this before, but i heard that you cannot so i need a confirmation on that.

Check with Etihad or Emirates airlines and I believe they should be able to clarify.

Hi Mohammed, it can take sometime 2 weeks also to process the visa. On Arrival visa has been stopped for nationalities like Asians but there a list of nationalities for which the on arrival visa is still being issued like USA, UK etc.

umkhan: is it true that on arrival visa is being issued in Abu dhabi or sharjah airport? this was informed by my colleagues, am not sure whether its true...

Well, I just told you from my experience. Initially, after launcing this online portal, visa on arrival was working if you have to land at Makthoom international airport, Jebel Ali. However they have closed that as well and all GCC residents need to apply before they go (for nationalities which cant have visa on arrival otherwise).

I have applied a couple of times and took me between 8 hours to 5 working days.

umkhan: It was good to read your very sensible and helpful post rather read the usual, daily posts of "give it three days."

Visa on arrival does not work for GCC residents any more. You have to apply online which you already did.

It can take between 8 hours to 5 working days for your Visa to be approved.

Sometimes the approval emails is received a bit late. So better to go to same website and click on Visa Status, put your application number to see if its approved or not?

Yes, You can get on arrival visa provided you work at a respectable position plus your sponsor is required to be strong ................. ..............
