If you’re planning to apply for a family residence visa, expect to be asked about your income and profession, as well as other documentation.

A secure non-labour profession, and a steady salary between 7,000 and 10,000 Qatari riyals is required as a measure to ensure that you have the financial stability and support you need for sponsoring a family member. Bank statements of the previous six months are also required to this purpose.

To prove your relation to the family member you are sponsoring, attested marriage and birth certificates are also a must, and your employer should ensure that your contract is attested by the Ministry of Labour.

You will also need a Police Clearance Certificate from the country whose passport you are entering on, along with a medical check and fingerprinting, which is the norm for any kind of Qatari residence permit.

Over all, the process is fairly straightforward, but be sure to read up on Hukoomi’s full and detailed account of the rules before setting out to apply. The form may be found online on their website.

In most cases, family visa seekers make use of the family visit visa, which is much easier to get, before applying for residence permit. Qatar e-government website, Hukoomi, includes all the details and procedures to acquire a family visit visa.

Once you acquire the visit visa, you may apply to convert the visit visa to permanent residency visa by following the steps detailed in our visa guide here.

Have you gone through any of the above processes recently? Share this post with someone who will find this info useful.

make sure you have all your degrees attested, and certified from your country. and ohhh almost forgot, rental agreement must be on your name.

thats a bummer for all people who have accommodation provided by their company.
