Work visa application Duration

Hello,
My wife's employer had applied for the work visa on 9/3/2017. I wanted to know the present time taken for visa approval and issue. Is there an option to track your visa by any process.
Can I contact anybody with respect to this and know the status.

Just for Closure- i got the visa finally on 14th of june,2017.
well to keep the update. the company had to change an Egyptian visa to indian visa, and the process has not completed still.

that's a pretty long time. i was told by her employer it will take a week or two. lets c hope it happens faster.
You need application number date of application and also you need Id number of your sponser
It will take minimum 3 months to get if it is Indian female work visa...in my case my work visa applied on January 2016 ND get it by April last

With application number and date of submission you can still track even if the application still under review, process, deferred, rejected, etc.,
If you have application number you can track the status in moi.gov.qa/site/english/.
If you do not have application number then you can still track in above website with passport number and nationality in visa inquiry & printing but it will appear only if it is in process. And you will not able to see if the initial application is deferred or rejected.
