I am from philippines., please i need your help, im planning to go in CID (police in qatar) for deportation. I just came here on june 3,  2014... But my employer did not follow the contract that was signed in the philippines, i have a copy of both contract and i did not sign the contract that my employer gave to me here. SALARY CHANGE - COMPANY NAME CHANGE - JOB POSITION CHANGE - and we also dont have medical insurance. My agency in the phils doesnt seem to care, and i heard from my friendz that if i report to the Embassy or POLO it wil take time, but if i go to CID for deportation it should be quick, specialy if i have the money to buy my own ticket. Guys itz my first time in my life to xperience this so please help me, i need advice on what will i do, i have evidence in me. . . Please. Thankyou.

yes, it means you have 3 months to get your RP (residence permit) done.

And yes, you still need exit permit because you are under work visa.

Anyone may correct me if i am wrong.

By djpop• 15 Jul 2014 10:22

Thank you Guys for all the help, i have 1 more question. . . Ive been staying here for almost 45 days, i did not yet go to finger print., and when i looked at my passport, it say DURATION STAY 3 MONTHS! Without exit visa or any paperz documentz in the company?

PLEASE JUST THIS ONE :'(

And by the way, I am working as Accounts Coordinator but in my pataka my job is Computer Technician.. A very common issue, not only to me, not only to you. Alhamdulilah, salary is as what was agreed, Job description, work place and all. Some expats here do not receive salaries on time (like me). Some do not receive anything at all. Some workers were abandoned by the employers. I am not telling you to just rest your case like that, but i am showing your options. You need PROPER guidance. Do not just listen to people without first hand experience on your situation. Be wise. Qatar will exercise your patience ;)

If you still opt to go to the Ministry of Labor, be prepared for a lengthy battle. Once they have contacted your employer and inform about your complaints, you can't go back again to your work place, therefore you cant expect for salary. Where are you going to stay? How are you going to live here jobless? And honey, that is not an overnight issue. I am talking about months!

You failed to mention what kind of Job you are in now. I am certain that your agency from Ph is well aware of the changes that will happen in your contract, but that is not their concern. Deploying you with "proper" documents is their focus, thus not informing you of the scenario. POEA (?) has set minimum salary for every job category before they can approve the agency's application for one applicant to proceed further (PDOS, OWWA, Medical, NBI blah blah Blah). OK? In this regard, agencies are the one's asking the overseas employers to issue a dummy contract mentioning false job category (category supplied by the agency too), into which they will refer as "internal agreement" and cannot be used by the applicant against employer/agency. Now, in my opinion, the least you can do is to gather all your documents together, at least a copy of everything if you cannot keep the originals like passport, which i am assuming your Employer is already keeping. Secondly, make up your mind, be careful on on the advices you are hearing. And pray, because once you started any legal action on your situation, there is no more turning back. Be prepared for the worst.

Go go ka na.

DJpop, Ang POLO pa rin ang mag recommends sa iyo para mag file ka ng complain sa Qatar Labour or Human Rights Commission. please don't hesitate to ask advice from our KABAYAN Office. Good Luck sa iyo.

Don't waist your time. Mababawi mo yan pera mo sa agency sa Pinas kapag andoon ka na. for sure mag complain ka muna. Just have Peace of mind and relax.. God Bless you.

Kabayan, Landlover and Spideman are right. Let the embassy work it out for you and they will tell you exactly what to do. For the money you paid, if the agency is based in Doha, you can get it from here, otherwise, you have to file complain to your origin and get it from there. Or, if you can afford to buy your own ticket, you simply quit your job by giving written notice (at least 3 days) to your employer and go back home. Your agency should be held liable for this mess and they should be the one to go in jail. Don't take matters into your own hands, let the embassy be involved in your case, this is their job.

Listen to Landlover... - Labour Ministry, Human Rights, Media and Phlipines Embassy. Start with embassy. Also as far as I know if probation period is not over then you can actually quit your job without being banned and leave for Philipines if you can afford ticket.. I would keep CID as a last resort cause things might get complicated. I think between labour ministry and Philipine embassy you should be able to resolve the problems.

Your Agency should be Ban from sending people overseas if the agreed contract is not the same as the contract abroad.

You better complain the agency as well to the authorities in your home country like OWWA.

Kabayan, stay cool and relax we understand your situation but don't take the risk into your own hands, let the proper authority do it for you. This few steps below will help you.

1. Bring all your documents with you such as, Visa, Employment Contract (approved by POEA), OEC and the name of Agency who processed your papers to our Embassy here in Qatar. Tell them your concerns and they will help you.

2. Don't go to CID or Police, they might file a case against you of absconding from your employer and do not sign any document written in Arabic. Come to office if your boss tells you so, since you already have the working visa.

3. If our embassy doesn't care, bring it to the attention of Human Rights here in Qatar or to the Ministry of Labor, of course this will be hard. Let's just hope, our embassy will help you.

4. This is a sensitive case, so pray and hope for the best.

Kabayan, follow Janneeyy03 advice. Go to your embassy and not to CID directly. Our embassy will assist you on this issue and will help you sort it out the proper way. There is no shortcut on this.

Where are you staying right now? If you are still with your employer, please don't do anything stupid like running away from them. It will bring you more trouble. They could file a case against you ( theft for example) before you reach the deportation.

You don't need to go to the deportation, you know, that is the place for illegal people (the undocumented ones) and those who were caught doing illegal things. That is not your case. Kabayan, i know you are feeling desperate but you have to clear your mind, and do the right thing. You have to go to the embassy, otherwise, live with it. You are not the first case of your problem. Be wise. In sha Allah, things will be in your favor.

Go to labor office and complain there....You need to inform your goverment representative so that they are aware about your situation and this has to bring to the attention of other goverment agecies like poea to investigate and ban as well the agency that took you here if they are not doing anything about your case...Again, go to your embassy and don't anyhow listen to people who doesn't know anything that will lead to your confusion...

Go to Labor Office to Complain, then go to POLO and complain too, whatever happens next, bring to the social media, the Qatar government is sensitive about this issue because of their anticipation to hold the world cup and the world is waiting for their moves and actions about human rights issue in Qatar.
