Help.. British moving to Qatar
Hello, so i've been offered a job to work within a new store as a supervisor. They've offered me a very good salary, that would be great here in england, but is it enough and the going rate in Qatar. They've offered, free accomadation and travel, as well as health insurance with a pay of 8.500QR. I'll be moving in March, but want to make the right move. Help?
Thank you
For single with accommodation and transport i think it's OK but for family of course impossible.
Lol funny
Keeping that British title is really very difficult. Lol
Thank you guys, I'm seriously thinking that coming to Qatar is a bad idea. I don't want to feel trapped. right now I'm not working but in the UK to work in my feild, you need a criminal check, so once mine is cleared I can start work, although it will take three months. So in the meantime, I thought I can come Qatar. Iv beeb told I can stay a minimum of a month.
An employee from any Asian or an African country with the same offer as yours will easily be able to save around QR 6000 per month. However, for westerners this may not be possible as their lifestyle differs. It is all up to you how you will manage your income after landing here.
I agree with molten metal , if you don't have a job there come and enjoy.
Not bad for singles, but definitely not good at all if you have a family.
You are going to work in Qatar and if you are single it is enough. If married then it is less.
For a store supervisor ..It's a good salary ..
But for a british ..certainly not.
are you single or married. if single it is more than enough. if married then ask them to raise it to 15K atleast.
Your savings would depend on your lifestyle. 8500 with accommodation is not bad for Qatar.
See, If are without any job in England then it's good opportunity for you to start with , good luck .......
Thats not a very good salary. This is the starting salary range for entry level engineers, good technicians etc. With this salary you wont be able to save much. This is like 1520 Pounds.
If you are moving without family then you might be able to save lets say 2000 to 3000 QAR with a bit above average life style.
QR 8,500 is peanuts. You won't save anything. If you will accept this offer, surely you will just pity yourself when you are already here.
