HELP! Degree from distance education not accepted for Qatar ID
Folks,
In need of critical inputs, I have a degree from distance education and when I went to the agency to submit the documents for attestation I was told that embassy is not accepting the distance/open/private university degrees anymore for Qatar ID.
Fortunately my degree certificate does not have any word metioned that it is from distane education, however we need to get bonafide certificate as well which clearly mentions that it is a distane education degree.
I had sent my degree marks sheet all the documents ahead to my employer and I was not told any of this, also I came here on Work permit with a Consultant Visa, I am in a fix and dont know what to do , this just sucks ! My employer isn't sure either.
* It is a hard earned degree by taking college in the evening and saturday/sunday full 8 hours classes and working full time too. I dismayed at the fact that Qatar doesn't accept the distance education degrees when Australia and USA did not have any issues accepting my degrees.
I am also in a similar situation. Was anyone able to get their online degrees attested? Appreciate any help in this regard.

Does anyone has a full list of accepted schools for health and medicine ?

I am also in same situation.... waiting for employer response and activity, they are telling that i will not get family status visa. Let me check, it is under discussion. But i am shocked, have completed Degree and MCA so seriously and achieve good percentage, still so ? on degree certificate.
did anyone attested ? If yes please give me some suggestions

I am in the same situation, therefore I wanted to know.
You do not need to submitted your captioned degree for certification. You can present your intermediate and other certificates for verification only.
The degree and educational documents are always mandated by your employer, if the employer is OK with your un-certified graduation degree, then there is no need for its verification.
I thought they had never been recognized (at least in the past 5 years or so)?

Thank you, I think I was just waiting to hear that no need to panic and go through the process.
But I feel I am just screwed and will take one day at at time and will update here.

No need to panic.. Go through the process , but also talk to your HR about options if the worst case occurs. They may be able to pull a few strings
As far as I know online and distance learning degrees are not accepted any longer.
It will probably be rejected when they send for verification.
