* being a cook?
* being a private tutor for kids at their residence

Even a person with Work Visa cannot do any other work other than his sponsors.

No part time. No side-business. No utilisation of free time for earning (after all its all a vice).

Its like if you have free time go to the corniche & sit there.

Of course there are people who do work with other than the Sponsor inspite of coming here on Work/Visit/Business Visas.

As to cook or private tutoring is not on the category of business, this is a kind of job... if you have a business in your name with a local then that differs, and you can have a visa. But to work, no as of now Indian visa is restricted...

People are weird.. like just fell from the Moon or something… it is clearly stated: VISIT VISA. Why do you think a Government would issue a VISIT visa to someone who wants to WORK in the country? Any government of any country... Why do you think it is so hard to get a VISIT visa to any western country? because they don't want someone like you to come and to work there ILLEGALY! Why do you think... oh.. leave it.. you don't seem to think at all.. so how are you going to provide a tutoring since you have not much of this grey matter in your mind?... poor students...

yeah, answering your question, “The visa status will affect you” very easy: you will be deported and never be allowed to Qatar again...
