Would appreciate advice 'is it possible to join QAFCO or govt org without NOC'. I returned from qatar 6 months back after cancelling visa and I don't have NOC.
If you Join a Qatar Government Owned Companies, they won't accept you if you need an NOC and which is not available. But It's obvious that they can absorb you at their will if the company is Government Owned. Go Ahead
There is no exemption for NOC. To give someone the false idea that if they wish and hope and pray that they, unlike everyone else in Qatar, are somehow exempt from needing an NOC is just crazy.

That's news to me. Apparently now NOCs are optional and not needed.
I'll let Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch and the International Labor Organisation know that all their reports about Qatar have been based on the false information that expats need an NOC to change jobs.
I'm outlining the crystal clear, immovable labor law.
You need an NOC to change your sponsor within two years of finishing with any other sponsor. Whether it is public, private, government, semi-government. An NOC is a requirement.
I am waiting for them to own up to their advice and agree to compensate for the losses to the OP. I hope they are man enough to accept that and prove that whatever they have been posting is not nonsense.
BTW since you are supporting that overlooking the NOC requirement OP should embark on a journey which may mean he quit his current job (if he has one) and travel on his own to Qatar (I am not sure if got a job with QAFCO or some other Govt org. inspite of they have been told about these facts or they coming to know of them) in case things go wrong would you compensate for OP's losses.
aq, my brother, you might have seen in your life , whenever you propose a thing , there will a certain person who will just oppose to you, same is here on QL.
By the way , For a swollen brain fellow everything beyound his sense is nonsense. So don't allow this swollen brain fellow spoil your future.
hgl , it is now habitual for you to foul mouth on each & every thread. Carry on if you have that much only.
If you were under company sponsorship within the last 2 years, you will require an NOC to be sponsored by QAFCO, or any company, or any government body.
Contact your former sponsor and request an NOC, otherwise you cannot return to Qatar.

Joy - he will need an NOC. So what you are saying is that he won't be accepted.
HGL, Your comment is highly appreciated here . You really add value. Atleast you are on QL.
Joy, That is how a positive thinking person goes about in the corporate culture. Cheers.

Hope 'crazy' will not be considered foul mouthing...:)

Man enough. "Men enough" is grammatically incorrect.
Prize...nope...man enough is alright.
I'm not taking any decision.

hgl * men enough * will be more suitable , I suppose.
fubar , Are you taking decision for the OP ?
Yes, in special cases if your co. is strong enough & you have rare skills, nobody can stop you from coming back.
It's one thing to log in every morning and just post meaningless babble.
But to willfully give someone incorrect and misleading advice is just hurtful.
I am waiting for them to own up to their advice and agree to compensate for the losses to the OP. I hope they are man enough to accept that and prove that whatever they have been posting is not nonsense.
Is this for real?
Someone has logged on to QL to ask a very specific question - can I join a company without an NOC. It is a concrete yes or no question.
Some of the advice given on this thread isn't just nonsense, it's actually wrong, and could cause a lot of headaches and heartache to someone.
Why on earth would you want to knowingly provide incorrect and misleading information to someone about an NOC?
It makes no sense.
As if I asked for your permission to carry on.
MM, On a few occasions that magic worked due to the prayers of the candidate might have been answered so all the barriers were removed from his path.
I am certain if one is determined to do a thing even the unfavourable circumstances also give positive results.

If such advices are once off it can be considered refreshing but if it is continuous guess it is simply nonsense, and a stale one..:)
Abid , Take the first step ....... start the journey ..... you will find a direction .... good luck ... !

Of course an NOC is needed.
If your visa is cancelled, then no need of NOC only If you don't have a ban of 2 year from your previous company.
In that case you should get NOC from them..
