Requirement for setting up a new business in Qatar
Hi, sorry if am asking a question thats already been asked before but I really will appreciate an answer please.
If one is under company sponsorship and is interested in starting up a business in Qatar. Any obligatory requirement for approval from the sponsor to allow him register the company, after having all other requirements ready?

As far as I know, to register as a partner of a company here you don't need any letter from present employer. But you can be only a partner in CR, not your name in the Manager Position in the CR, so you cannot be in computer card also, and may be bank operations is also limited to the person who has name as manager in CR.
For being a Manager, I think you will have to be in that company's sponsorship, the Qatari Sponsor will be a Manager.
But to avoid any future troubles with your present employer, check your contract with them, will it objects something like this, and if you are going to be partner of a competing company with your present employer, I am sure you are going to invite problems.

It will all depend on what your employment contract says.
