Hi Folks,

I will be posted to Doha frm 1st April. I was just wondering how is the working lifestyle there.  Is it very stressful? I have few queries below"-

What is the working hours in Doha like?

When is the off days?

Is there a lot of public holidays and where can we get the official calendar to know abt the public holidays in Doha? Do people work during this holidays?

I have to get this info at least i can plan ahead as when i can come back home to visit my families esp if there is a long holiday in Doha.

Most of the companies work for 7/8 hrs a day, starting form 6:00 AM or 7 AM. Fridays and Saturdays are weekends. Public Holidays are very limited 3 to 5 days for an Eid Fitr  and 3 to 5 days for Eid Adha and 1 day for national day. Besides this you get an annual vacation of 30 to 45 days.HTH
