Bank Loan Issues

Hi Guys,

I just want to ask what will happen if I comeback to Qatar.

I left Doha a year ago, with a balance loan and credit card bill in a bank. Even though I left I send remittance to pay my monthly amortization until I was lay-off (in UAE) I stop sending money for 6 months now.

Now I wish to go back to Qatar to work for my previous company. My worry is what will happen, are they going to arrest me or what since I also want to come back to settle my loans and bills with them. Will they give me a chance to settle it or immediately put me to jail (absconding case)?

I need advice ASAP

Thanks,
MA

It is also had been happened to a friend, he left qatar 2 years ago with outstanding bank loan and came back for working in the same company.

After several months he was going to the jail.

Some idea to make negotiation with the bank is ok, as long as you have paper of agreement.

i havent heard of such incident to be arrested in the airport.

i know one story that a fellowmen had left his company the time he went on vacation. accompanied with this is his' loan and credit card bill. He then change his passport came back to doha after 8 months.. And he is able to enter and after entering he consult his bank about his case. And they agreed to continue the loan but for a shorter tenure..

Hai

Dont worry dear; inform the bank of your intention to settle the loan after coming to Doha for work. If needed talk to the recovery manager, he will guide you. Just make sure there is no travel ban put in your name by the bank - which if you are honest, the bank official can tell you..
